By booking an appointment, purchasing a service, or submitting payment to Lux Strands, LLC, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the following Terms & Conditions. These terms are legally binding.

1. APPOINTMENTS, CANCELLATIONS & PAYMENTS

1.1 Non-Refundable Payments.

All deposits, retainers, and service payments are non-refundable under all circumstances.

1.2 Cancellations & No-Shows.

Cancellations made within 48 hours of the appointment or failure to attend the appointment will result in being charged the full service fee.

1.3 Late Arrivals.

Arrival more than 15 minutes late may result in cancellation and will be charged as a no-show.

1.4 Client Cooperation.

Clients must follow all aftercare instructions to ensure longevity and safety of extensions and color services.

2. SERVICE LIMITATIONS & EXPECTATIONS

2.1 No Guarantee of Results.

Individual results vary based on hair condition, lifestyle, maintenance, and environmental factors.

2.2 Medical & Scalp Conditions.

Clients must disclose all scalp conditions, sensitivities, allergies, or medical issues that may affect results. Lux Strands is not liable for adverse outcomes caused by undisclosed conditions.

2.3 Allergies.

Patch tests are available upon request. Lux Strands is not responsible for allergic reactions if the client declines a patch test or fails to disclose allergies.

2.4 Third-Party Alterations.

Any adjustments made by another stylist void all guarantees, warranties, or adjustment options.

3. PHOTOS, VIDEOS & MEDIA CONSENT

3.1 Marketing Use.

Clients grant Lux Strands permission to take photos/videos before, during, and after services for marketing and educational purposes.

Clients may opt out only by submitting written notice prior to the service starting.

4. PAYMENTS, CHARGEBACKS & COLLECTIONS

4.1 No Chargebacks.

Client agrees not to dispute, reverse, or chargeback any payment made to Lux Strands. All disputes must follow the resolution steps outlined in Section 10 (Arbitration).

4.2 Unauthorized or Fraudulent Chargebacks.

If a chargeback is filed, Lux Strands may submit evidence including:

Client communications

Photos & videos

Signed agreements

Service notes

Security footage

Client agrees to reimburse Lux Strands for all losses resulting from a chargeback, including:

Chargeback fees

Attorney’s fees

Collections costs

Interest to the fullest extent permitted by law

4.3 Collections.

Any unpaid or disputed balance older than 30 days may be sent to collections.

5. ADJUSTMENTS, REVISIONS & REDOS

5.1 Adjustment Period.

Lux Strands offers a 5-day adjustment period for minor corrections.

5.2 No Refunds or Free Redos.

If a client wants a different style, color, or method than what was agreed upon, these changes are considered new services and will incur additional charges.

5.3 Dissatisfaction.

Dissatisfaction alone does not justify refunds, chargebacks, or free services.

6. WIGS, HAIR EXTENSIONS & RETAIL PURCHASES

6.1 Final Sale Policy.

All wigs, extensions, clip-ins, halos, bundles, and retail items are final sale due to hygiene and industry standards.

6.2 Custom Orders.

Custom-colored hair, special-order textures, custom wigs, and all personalized items are non-refundable and cannot be cancelled or changed once ordered.

7. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

7.1 No Liability for Pre-Existing Damage.

Lux Strands is not responsible for damage or issues caused by:

Previous installs

Medication or hormonal changes

Color history

Improper care or aftercare

Excessive oil, dandruff, or shedding

Stress or illness

7.2 Maximum Liability.

The maximum liability of Lux Strands for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid for the service.

8. NON-DISPARAGEMENT & DEFAMATION POLICY

8.1 Non-Disparagement Agreement.

Client agrees not to post, publish, or communicate any false, misleading, defamatory, or damaging statements about Lux Strands, its brand, staff, products, or services.

Yelp

Facebook

Instagram

TikTok

Threads

Group chats

Forums

Private or public platforms

8.2 Opportunity to Cure.

Client must notify Lux Strands in writing within 48 hours of any dissatisfaction and allow the salon to correct or address the issue.

8.3 Consequences of Defamation.

If defamatory content is posted, Lux Strands reserves the right to:

Request removal

Pursue legal action

Seek compensation for damages

Recover attorney’s fees

9. HEALTH & MEDICAL WAIVER

9.1 Risks.

Client acknowledges that extensions and color services include inherent risks such as:

Irritation or allergic reaction

Breakage or shedding

Tension sensitivity

Color fading or mismatch

Scalp redness or soreness

9.2 Release of Liability.

By receiving services, client releases Lux Strands from any claims related to these risks.

10. MANDATORY ARBITRATION AGREEMENT

10.1 Binding Arbitration.

Any dispute, disagreement, or claim arising out of services, payments, results, or these Terms & Conditions will be resolved exclusively through binding arbitration in Tennessee or New York (based on service location).

10.2 No Jury Trial or Class Action.

Client waives the right to sue in court, participate in a class action, or request a jury trial.

10.3 Good-Faith Resolution First.

Client must attempt to resolve disputes directly with Lux Strands before initiating arbitration.

10.4 Attorney’s Fees.

The prevailing party in arbitration is entitled to recover attorney’s fees, arbitration costs, and any damages awarded.

10.5 Scope of Arbitration.

Arbitration applies to all disputes including:

Refunds

Chargebacks

Alleged injuries

Dissatisfaction

Social media or review disputes

Defamation-related claims

Payment plans or financing disputes

11. AGREEMENT TO TERMS

By booking an appointment, purchasing a product, signing this agreement, or submitting payment, the client acknowledges and agrees to all policies above.

This agreement is binding and enforceable.
