Maintenance Schedule

Maintenance: Every 6 weeks minimum

Removal: Between 3 - 6 months depending on hair growth

Care Instructions

No Moisture:

Keep your bonds from getting wet for at least 48 hours

No Pulling or Twisting:

Treat your hair gently! Avoid any pulling or twisting for the first three days. Do not put your hair into a high or tight ponytail

Washing Wisely:

Do not wash K Tips every day. It is best to have your hair washed and maintained in the salon, but if you must wash your hair at home follow these instructions. Washing your K-tip extensions must be less frequent than your natural hair. If you typically wash your hair daily this will need to change to every 2-3 days. Over-washing can dry out the hair and compromise the keratin bonds. When washing, use a sulfate-free, paraben-free, and alcohol-free shampoo, applying it gently and avoiding any circular motions. Also avoid product directly touching the bonds. Follow up with a nourishing alcohol-free and sulfate-free conditioner, but apply it from mid-length to the ends, steering clear of your roots where the bonds are. Only apply conditioner 7 inches below the bonds. Rinse with cool water. After washing, pat your hair with a microfiber towel to remove excess water. Never rub vigorously as this action can create tangles and even pull at the bonds. Air drying is always best, but if you must use a blow dryer, ensure it’s on a low heat setting and avoid the bonds. Avoid any scalp or topical treatments outside of the salon as they may damage your bonds.

Sleep in Style:

Use a luxurious satin or silk cap, or snuggle up with a silky pillowcase to keep your hair looking fabulous overnight. Sleep in a low loose ponytail.

Heat Tools Warning:

Avoid using heat tools or blow dryers near the bonds to ensure they stay secure.

Stay On Schedule:

Make sure to come back for maintenance or check-ups every 4-5 week.

Daily Brushing:

Always brush your hair before washing and never sleep with wet hair. Use a loop brush and start with the ends. Avoid direct conduct with the bonds.
